A new construction defect law was passed by the Nevada legislature and signed by Governor Sandoval.  The new bill reportedly restricts the definition of a home defect and limits attorney fees.  It also reduces the statute of limitations to six years. Well-publicized scams by attorneys and construction companies in condominium construction defect litigation have been the subject of one of the most a far-reaching FBI probes in Las Vegas. Perhaps this legislation will help revive plans for Las Vegas condominium construction, which have been extremely limited over the last several years.
