The Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors  reported that double digit price increases for Southern Nevada homes continue. The median price of a single family home was $190,000 in February, up from $150,000 a year ago. The median price for condos and townhouses also rose to $102,855, a 25.4% increase over last year.  Price growth of 2.7% also was reported for February over the month-earlier prices, while attached homes increased 8.3% over the earlier month. As foreclosures have been declining, and short sales represent a smaller portion of the market, it will be most interesting to see what the spring buying season, which is now upon us, brings this year.
